- SIDE-CURTAIN AIR BAGS
- Side-curtain air bags with roll detection system come standard on Commander. Side-curtain air bags are deployed in side-impact collisions and/or during vehicle rollover to help further protect occupants. *Always use seat belts. Children 12 and under should always be in a backseat correctly using an infant or child restraint system, or the seat belt positioned correctly for the child’s age and weight.
- SOUND DAMPING
- Environmentally friendly water-bourne sound-damping material was used throughout the entire vehicle to help make Commander’s interior quiet enough for a normal conversation with third-row passengers. Commander also makes extensive use of Quiet Steel® technology, a layered sandwich steel, composites and more steel to substantially reduce noise, vibration and ride harshness.
